Anniversary
It was my wonderful parents anniversary this week. We celebrated by heading up to the lake for a pizza picnic, hanging out and wading in the water. I am so thankful for my parents and their marriage and the family we have together.

Wordle
This is a Wordle of Philippians 1 vs 1-11. This is such a cool program that my aunt showed me last week. you input what every words you want, in this case Phil 1, vs 1-11 and it bases the word size based on the emphasize placed on the words and the amounts of times it appears in the paragraph. This is a great tool to create a visually attractive piece of art but as well really shows the themes of different passages of the bible. You can find this free online tool here
So my fantastic friend Corina
agreed to be my model for a assignment on shutter speed.. it consisted of her driving up and down the driveway on my brothers scooter.. I think it rather suited her. If anyone of my friends is a uprooted European it is Corina. She has the language skills and the shoe collection that is required. I think she would feel rather at home zipping around the Italian country side on a Vespa. She would fit right in with the sunglasses.
But then what would I have done this weekend.. no hours talking about nothing, making supper, browsing in old bookstores, watching 60's TV, being kicked off the beach at cultus lake ( we apparently should have been more adventurous teenagers for then we would have known that the beach closes at 11pm). No as much as I think Europe suits you.. I think here is much much better!!.
ETA- and who would supply me with books that make me die with laugther.. if you ever need a fantastic lighthearted evening, read "The Guy I'm not Dating", by Trish Perry. I laughed so hard

Preggo or Nopreggo
So Sasha is halfway this week and as it is with dogs we can't tell yet (without ultrasound) whether or not she is going to pop out pups or not. So we wait.. and look at her tummy all the time and try to remember if it is bigger than it was 4 wks ago.
According to Aunt Lou (Sarah Plain and Tall) "you can always tell in a dog's eyes"- well I can't... can you?
Oh and she sleeps ALOT and throws up after she eats. I personally have never been preggo but I hear that that is pretty common.

Kayaking
So my dear friend Rosie and I decided to go kayaking on Tuesday... well kinda kayaking. She bought a fantastic kayak named Howard or Harold (for the time being, until we comeup with something better).
It got strapped to the top of her car and up to Cultus we went. I had heard that there was a new place to rent kayaks up there. After driving around and not finding it we finally got to where we needed to be (looked like a concession stand.. and was one) and then proceeded to gape at what they brought out and passed off as a kayak.... not exactly what I had in mind.
Well lets just say that this might have been fantastic for paddling around the dock. But it was NOT cut out for beating against the wind more than 1/2 way up the lake. The kayak was like a giant scoop with every wave. 5inches of water was rather chilly. We had to pull off to the shore x3 to dump water so I wouldn't sink. We had a fantastic time though, Cant wait for the Broken Islands in August!!! Oh PS Benefits of the open top kayak you at least can tan your legs!!!
