Hey All, The sun is out right now... but twenty minutes ago it may have been blowing 20knots and been snowing =) Having a great week and super stoked as my brother Joel is out on the water with us. yesterday was the wildest day yet. Lots and lots of motion as we headed beam reach/running down the Strait. We only raised the Fore Sail but made 5.5-6.0 knots the entire way down and anchored under sail in Bedwell Harbour. This week is also fab because we have volunteers. I have my very own assistant- Diane. As well as Sarah G is also on. I forgot to share this at the beginning of the season but this is a poem that Sarah sent me the morning of my first trip.
Mel! Happy sailing! Here is a poem to send you on your way!
May you always bake enough cookies so that everyone can have two,
May your fruits and veggies be stored nicely and never turn blue!
May your stash of chocolate be hidden from Sam and the crew,
Because the cook needs it most and that cook is You!
May you prep everything in time and may the fire never go out,
And if the meal isn't going your way tell the crew to start fishing for trout!
May you sleep well in your little bunk,
May your Head never hit the chunk
Of wood above your head, turning your forehead red.
May your face always wear a smile and your heart always be full of love
May you love this job and may God bless you from above! With a dove! And a glove!
